This municipal services taxing unit (MSTU) provides recreation facilities to the residents & property owners of the Silver Springs Shores subdivision.

The facilities include:

• 3 swimming pools
• basketball, pickleball, & tennis courts
• a community & youth center

Street lighting is also funded through this assessment.

The current millage rate is 3.0.

There are over 4,300 parcels within this MSTU, which was created by a referendum in 1980 by the property owners.

These facilities are managed by the MSTU/Assessment department & a citizen advisory board of 5 RLE residents appointed by the Marion County Commission.
