The 911 Management department plays a vital role in providing the residents of Marion County with emergency rescue services. This department oversees the county’s addressing system, which includes the naming of roads as well as assigning numbers to houses & businesses.
When new homes, businesses & road infrastructure are added to Marion County, 911 Management records this information in the GIS mapping system that dispatchers in the Communications Center use to send help when someone calls 911.
