Monday-Saturday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. 

The Forest Community Center at Sandhill Park was completed in 2011 with community development block grant funds & in-kind services provided by Marion County Facilities Management & Parks & Recreation departments. The first block grant award of $350,000 provided passive park amenities including a pavilion, playground unit & boardwalk. A second grant award of $560,000 facilitated the expansion & renovation of the former Forest Public Library into a community center.

The Forest Community Center at Sandhill Park is adjacent to a sheriff’s substation, tax collector’s office, recycling center, fire station & the new Forest Public Library, complementing the hub of public services offered on adjacent parcels.

The Forest Community Center at Sandhill Park provides meeting space, a game room, playground, picnic pavilion, & boardwalk to the adjacent Forest Public Library. The park itself is pet friendly.
