Evaluation and Appraisal Report
Local governments must periodically review and update their Comprehensive Plans, a process known as an Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) under Florida Law. These plans must cover at least 10 and 20-year planning horizons. However, planning for the next 20 years is just part of the equation. To reduce the contamination of our aquifer and waterways, Marion County is implementing a septic-to-sewer conversion program. The renewed sales tax will generate an estimated $196 million in revenue. This will fund even more public safety & infrastructure improvements.
